A UK service for people serving life and IPP sentences, and for the families and friends who stand by them. Drawing on personal and professional experience, we help people find their way through the prison system and the barriers to progression and release.
We take no government money. Every gift, from a one-off PayPal donation to a coffee on Ko-fi, keeps our support going.
Guidance, advocacy and practical help with parole, recall, progression and mental health pathways, throughout a sentence and into release.
An indeterminate sentence is felt by the whole family. We support the people on the outside as well as those in custody.
Specialist consultancy for solicitors, barristers and other professionals working on complex prison, parole and sentencing cases.
Policy work, legal challenges, research and media campaigns that push for meaningful change to indeterminate sentencing.
Personalised guidance, practical help and advocacy, with strategic case coordination to bring the right people together and find the best way forward.
Advocacy and representations on prison, parole, mental health, human rights and sentencing matters, plus supporting statements, mitigation evidence and other written submissions.
Help understanding prison policies, procedures and decisions. We liaise with prisons, healthcare, probation, parole bodies and government departments, and refer on to specialist legal professionals where needed.
Information, documents and practical resources, with trauma-informed guidance, mentoring and admin support for prisoners and their families.
Projects, campaigns, research and media work that raise awareness of prison and sentencing issues and keep the experiences of prisoners and families at the centre of reform.
We take no government money and no funding from anyone who could influence how we work. Your donation keeps our support up to date, tailored and there for every prisoner and family who needs it.
We look at the whole picture: the person, the progress of their case, the law and policy behind it, the institutions involved and the impact on their family.
